What is a Prepaid Bank Account?

The Secure Trust Bank Prepaid Account is a Secure Trust Bank’s Basic Current Account. With this account you are able to manage your budget and won’t go overdrawn again – so no more unexpected overdraft charges or bank fees for bounced direct debits. Even if you have a history of bad credit, or had money problems in the past, we guarantee acceptance, subject to satisfactory identification and residency checks (which we can check electronically for you in most cases).

A Prepaid Account puts you back in control of your finances. It works like any other bank account – your salary or regular income is paid in and your direct debits, standing orders and regular bill payments come out.

Our Retailer Rewards Scheme

As a Secure Trust Bank Current Account customer, you will be automatically enrolled into the Secure Trust Bank Rewards Scheme which gives you the ability to earn cash rewards of up to 4% at over 30 major high street retailers when you shop with your prepaid card. The cash rewards will be credited into your current account approximately 2 months from the time you make your purchase, and if you have more than one prepaid card linked to your account, all cards are eligible for earning rewards! So you could potentially cover the cost of your monthly management fee by shopping in the participating retailers – we estimate that a typical couple could, in fact, earn a reward based payment of around £25 per month!

Participating retailers currently include favourite stores such as Asda, Argos, Boots, Debenhams, Comet, B&Q – plus many more!
