Personal finance expert at uSwitch.com Michael Ossei is urging Brits not to miss out on the best of the January deals, that could assist with consumers' finances.

 

He says: "People should act quickly to make the most of the Barclaycard Platinum Balance Transfer credit card which has the longest 0 per cent balance transfer period of 24 months."

 

"With low savings rates, current account deals have looked especially attractive and there have been a number of competitive deals."

 

He cites that such accounts can earn as much as £150 a year, for those paying in the maximum £2,500.
